Hometown Heroes 2021
Lori's dedication to country and community was honored, to her surprise, with a Hometown Heroes banner from the Lindenhurst Community Cares Coalition where she serves as Executive Director, dedicated to preventing alcohol and substance abuse among the youth in our community.

Hon. Arthur Cromarty, U.S. Army Air Corps 1939-1944
Alice Cromarty, Lindenhurst Kiwanis Co-President, shares the legacy of her father, Hometown Hero Arthur Cromarty, who served with distinction in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1939-1944 and then went on to help found the Kiwanis Club of Lindenhurst, serve as Lindenhurst Village Attorney, Town of Babylon Supervisor and New York State Supreme Court Justice.

Carolyn Mormino: Navy mom & Army daughter
Carolyn Mormino is a Navy mom and Army daughter from North Babylon, NY who, along with Navy mom Jeanine Walther and Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, spearheaded the Babylon/Lindenhurst Kiwanis partnership bringing the Hometown Heroes Banner Program to all of Babylon. She is proud to honor her father, Ronald S. Mormino, who served in the U.S. Army.

Jeanine Walther: Navy mom
Jeanine Walther is a Navy mom from North Babylon, NY who, along with Navy mom Carolyn Mormino and Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, spearheaded the Babylon/Lindenhurst Kiwanis partnership bringing the Hometown Heroes Banner Program to all of Babylon. She is proud to honor her son, Travis C. Winn, who is currently serving in the United States Navy, with a Hometown Heroes banner.
